REM Straps Releases "The Nations Collection" of Laser-Engraved Straps for Football Fans

To mark the occasion Swedish strap maker REM Straps has just released "The Nations Collection", a limited series of laser-engraved leather watch straps featuring the historic emblems of the game's biggest national teams.

The Concept

The Nations Collection from REM Straps takes their vintage-style strap and adds crests inspired by the heritage of the world's most storied football nations. The current lineup covers most of the usual suspects: Germany, Netherlands, France, England, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, USA, and Sweden.

Supporting a nation not on the list? Pick the "Other" option and enter the team name in the "message to seller" field at checkout. REM will handle the rest.

Construction and Specs

These are not completely new straps. The Nations edition is built on REM's vintage platform, made from heavy tooling leather with raw edges and hidden knot stitching. The leather is sourced from Tärnsjö Garveri, a Swedish tannery that uses an organic vegetable tanning process.

Leather is a living material, so expect natural variation in color and tone. Each strap will age differently.

About That Laser Engraving

A quick word on how the crest ends up on the strap. The laser creates a controlled, shallow burn that darkens the leather fibers without cutting too deeply into them. On high-quality hides like this Tärnsjö leather, the structural integrity remains intact.

The engraving becomes part of the leather itself. It won't peel, crack, or fade like surface treatments. Over time, it develops its own patina, aging alongside the rest of the strap.
